History.

In 1933, Stan Joseph opened a small appliance store in Northern California. Supported by his devoted wife Florence, his innovative thinking led to the invention of the first kitchen ventilation system and the first indoor electric barbecue. To expand on their passion for cooking and invention, the Joseph’s founded Dacor in 1965. Sons Michael and Anthony later joined the company, which remains under the ownership of the Joseph family to this day.

Values.

Dacor instated the company value statement in 1997, which is, “To honor God in all that we do.” The value statement is meant to carry over all aspects of employees’ work environment and daily life. Through respecting others, doing good work, helping others, giving thanks, and celebrating their lives, Dacor employees uphold the company values and propagate these values in their own lives.
